Abbott Manager, Talent & Organization Consulting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam


Primary Function

  • Act as a member of the TOC team at affiliate to support the line manager in delivering critical TOC priorities across ANI to drive the Organization effectiveness and support for business growth.

Major Responsibilities


  • Constantly collect BHR and business input and needs, assesses TOC implications of key business priorities and capability needs

  • Develop annual TOC plan for the business and countries as assigned to

  • Drive and execute organizational development against the 70-20-10 approach

  • Builds and sustains productive working relationships with peers in a matrix environment; provides TOC support to the business in Vietnam

  • Support with the implement Vietnam Talent Strategy including project communication, tracking, metrics, budget and best practice sharing on talent strategies from other Abbott affiliates to best support the local implementation to deliver the best-in-Abbott talent solutions for Vietnam

Organizational Effectiveness and Talent Management

  • Addresses a range of learning development & organizational effectiveness solutions including analyzes organization needs and gaps between ideal and actual status, determine deficiencies, and design & implement performance/ capability improvement solutions, interventions, programs and training classes as needed, to meet employee and organizational needs.

  • Proactively works with line manager, BHRs and Business Leaders to design and implement talent and organization plans. This may include organization/ team effectiveness, talent and succession planning, leadership development and change management, etc.

  • Actively work with line manager and BHRs in talent management-related activities such as country, Area and/or division TMR preparation and facilitation and Workday/TMS implementation.

  • Be able to facilitate workshops/ meetings and other format of interventions as a part of TOC solutions to improve organizational effectiveness.

Performance Consulting

  • Provides consulting support to BHR and/or key stakeholders in executing TOC intervention which supports business strategy.

  • Executes consulting processes and approaches through all client engagements.

  • Measures and reports the impact of consulting solutions using evaluation, metrics, focus groups and performance results.

  • Builds and sustains productive working relationships with peers in a matrix environment; provides TOC support to the business in Vietnam

Training and Facilitation

  • Facilitate training needs analysis with BHR and/ or key stakeholders, create and implement annual and monthly training plan including needs survey, analysis and solutions based on business needs.

  • Identify new needs from business, review, design/refine existing learning solutions including planning and process improvement beyond core learning and development offerings as needed.

Project Management

  • Monitor scoping and timeline to meet project key milestones, budget, metrics and dashboard over 3-year project outcomes, and drive project completion
