VF Corporation Senior Footwear Manager in Vietnam

Job Description

Supervise and coach team members under his/her structure. Provide guidance for improvements in personal skills and technical procedures.

Work with the Product Development Director, and supervise the local Development team to ensure products are ready in a timely manner and assist in achieving buy readiness dates.

Supervise the Commercialization team to ensure Timberland standards and requirements for the engineering and manufacturing of footwear are adhered to with regards to product quality and Development Calendar timelines.

Review prototype products throughout development and identify potential Development, Commercialization or Production issues and provide viable options or solutions to solve these problems. Communicate technical issues to Stratham HQ and suggest possible solutions which may require their approval.

Identify high risk areas related to people, process, quality, etc., and communicate these issues to Timberland Management, the Country Manager, staffs, as well as the factories, material vendors for improvements and solutions.

Provide routine updates and reports to the Country Manager on the performance of suppliers, to provide solutions and suggestions to ultimate such performance and how we should adjust our sourcing strategy in this consideration.

Explore new potential suppliers in the country and aggressively look for new opportunities.

Build and maintain a close relationship with all suppliers and partners.
